BRIGHT SPLASHES
Software Oriented Realtime Interaction
“University research content with Cinema 4D used as an interactive toolkit for animating shapes and content through user interface icons, buttons and sliders.”
The approach was to develop a way for a user to interact with animated geometry on the screen and alter/adjust it to create unique animations, live VJ outputs for dj’s or render frames of abstract stills.
The work explored abstract connotations or how this could be used as an educational way of presenting content and was titled S.O.R.I. (Software Oriented Realtime Interaction.)
The videos show a capture of Cinema 4D on the left hand side changing the onscreen content in realtime and a floating viewport window without the software user interface shown that can be projected as a live feedback for musicians.
